Hey guys!!! Long time no see. I started working on this post on November 26th.... I know.... over a month ago. Things got a little crazy over the holidays but I'm hoping that since they're over I can post more often. Even though I haven't posted since November 19th I'm still working on my 100 days of empties. This post has everything I've used up in the past month and a half.
Product: Skittles Candle
Price: $1 (Rite Aid)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
I bought this candle awhile ago at Rite Aid. It was only $1 but this is the worst candle I have ever bought. It's not even worth a dollar. The candle didn't smell like strawberry. It didn't smell like anything.
Product: Up & Up Nail Polish Remover
Price: .97 cents (Target)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
This remover wasn't too good. It took quite a few cotton pads to remove my nail polish. I'd rather buy the Up & Up Acetone Nail Polish remover from Target or my favorite nail polish remover for Sally's.
Product: Garnier Fructis Leave in Conditioner
Price: $2.99 (Target)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Already have
I go through these pretty fast. I've learned that I need to put some sort of anti-frizz control product before using my curling cream in order to have a good or decent hair day.
Product: Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash
Price: $5.49 (Target)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I got this in one of the Allure Beauty Box I bought a couple months ago. I never knew a body wash could make me feel so good. My skin felt nice and moisturized after using it the first time. I will definitely purchase this after I go through the rest of my body wash stash.
Product: Deep Cleansing Soap in Iced Blackberries
Price: $6.50 (Bath and Body Works)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
I got this soap a couple of weeks ago during a sale. BBW had all their soaps for $2.50 and I used a coupon which made these less than $2. Although I did enjoy the deep cleansing soap, the smell was too sweet. I personally wouldn't buy this for $6.50 but can see why they are that price. The smell of the soap is strong. I could smell it on my hands 10 minutes after I had washed them.
Product: Winter Candy Apple Gentle Foaming
Price: $6.50 (Bath and Body Works)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
Winter Candy Apple is my all time favorite holiday scent. My best friend got this for me on Black Friday. I went through this FAST I knew I had to get more. When I went to BBW they were all out of the Winter Candle Apple Gentle Foaming soap but I was able to get the Deep Cleansing Soap.
Product: Not Your Mothers Kinky Moves Curl Cream
Price: $4.74 (Walmart)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Already have
I've talked about this cream many times on my instagram page. NYM Curl Cream is the only product that will leave my natural curls bouncy without the crunch that some products give.
Product: Father Christmas Bath Bomb
Price: $6.95 (Lush)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I discovered Lush late 2013/early 2014 and I have fallen in love with their bubble bars and bath bombs. Although I love using these, I take baths too frequently to enjoy a $7 bath bomb every time I bathe. These last couple of times I've been breaking the bath bomb in half, that way it'll last longer. I'll definitely repurchase but I'm also going to try to find a cheaper alternative.
Product: Fresh Strawberries hand sanitizer
Price: $1.50 (Bath and Body Works)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
I like to have hand sanitizer or wipes in my purse at all times. I liked the smell but my friends thought it smelled like straight alcohol. I have a couple other bath and body works ones around but I prefer the regular Purell it makes my hands feel a little more clean without the extra fragrance.
Product: Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towels
Price: $8.59 (Target)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
I've heard so many great reviews on these facial towels. Many people use them to remove make up but that wasn't too effective for me. I got these during Yes to Carrots 2013 Cyber Monday, all of their products were $2. For that price I would use them all day but I prefer the Simple wipes they don't have a scent or irritate my face like the cucumber ones do.
Product: Epielle Citrus Cleansing Tissues
Price: $1 (Big Lots)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
I got these for 80 cents during their friends and family sale. I was excited to try these since I have heard many people rave about them. The smell of this pack didn't bother me but I felt that it didn't really do anything. I couldn't completely remove my mascara or swatches on my arm. I'm slowly going through all the packs I bought but I will not repurchase these cleansing wipes.
Product: Nexxus Hydrating Treatment Deep Conditioner
Price: $17.59 (Rite Aid)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I got this Deep Conditioner for less than $5 (I had a couple of coupons) I liked how my hair felt after using this deep conditioner. I always judge how well a product worked by the way it leaves my hair after it air dries. My hair was soft, tangle free, and bouncy. If I can get a deal on this conditioner I will repurchase this in a heart beat.
Product: La Fresh Nail Polish Remover Acetone-Free
Price: $19.99 for a pack of 48 (Lafreshgroup.com)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I got these La Fresh Nail polish remover wipes with my Color Clutch. These claim that 1 towel will remove nail polish from five fingers. I needed 2-3 wipes per hand. I wouldn't purchase these as my primary source of nail polish remover but these are great for traveling. I might buy a pack of the acetone ones. Those probably remove polish faster and easier.
Product: Supergoop Face and Body Lotion
Price: $15 (Birchbox)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
Although I only tried a sample foil size I enjoyed this face and body lotion. It has SPF 30 is water resistant, has a thin consistency, and does not have a sunblock smell. A full size of this would be great for the summer.
Product: Yes to Cucumber Eye Gel
Price: $10.19 (Target)
Used until empty: No, it expired
Repurchase: No
I have a hard time remember to use eye products. I know that you should start using them early and that it'll make a big difference later on in life. I didn't enjoy this eye gel because I felt like it was too wet and never dried/soaked into my skin. This said you could use it in the morning or night. I recommend this at night since it never really sets in your skin.
Product: Soy Renewal beach spray
Price: $19.95
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: No
As I was cleaning I found another one of these beach sprays. I didn't like this. It made my hair feel dry and dirty.
Product: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal
Price: $22.95 (Ulta)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: no
This oil was good. Honestly, I could use any oil on my hair and I rarely notice a difference when I'm using them which is why I wouldn't repurchase this particular one.
Product: Clinique Moisture Surge Intense for Dry Skin
Price: $38.50 for 1.7oz (Sephora)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I didn't realize that the full size was so expensive! They sell an even bigger one for $52. Now I'm sad that I went through the little sample. I got the sample when I purchased the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I get dry patches in the winter and would apply the moisture surge on those places after using the moisturizing lotion. I need to repurchase this but need to wait for a sale.
Product: OrigiNails Bubble White 5-Minute Effervescent Nail Cleaner
Price: $2.79 without card $1.99 with beauty card (Sally's)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Maybe
I actually didn't see a difference when using it. I didn't expect a big difference but I wanted to see a little bit of a change. I might repurchase this because when I just went to check the price of this I read through the reviews. I know sometimes you can't rely on reviews but these reviews were really good. Some of them said you need to be patient others said it works with continued use. Next time I'm at Sally's I'll try and pick up 3 to really test it out.
Product: Winter Candy Apple Candle
Price: $22.50 (Bath and Body Works)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I've said it time and time again. Winter Candy Apple is the best holiday scent. I went through this candle in a couple of days. When BBW had candles for $8 I bought all the Winter Candy Apple ones I could find :). I 1000% recommend Bath and Body Works Candles but not for $22.50. The scents are long lasting which can be a good or bad thing. Good if you end up liking the smell, the smell will linger even after you blow the candle out. Bad if you're sensitive to strong scents or end up not liking how the candle smells. days after Their candles go on sale often and are usually 2 for $22 and they usually have some sort of coupon to lower your cost.
Product: Balanced Guru Hair Oil
Price: $13 (balancedguru.com )
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
I got this hair oil in my Ipsy bag. I have a love/hate relationship with Ipsy but love being able to try brands I don't know are out there. I know I just said I can't tell a difference when using oils... I meant except for this one. When I got this oil I put it to the side thinking that it's just like the rest. The lemongrass smell attracted me to this product but it became even better when it actually worked. A lot of oils are thick and make my hair look greasy or weigh down my curls but not this one. This oil is meant to prevent frizz and it did just this. I will be repurchasing this
Product: Mango Body Butter
Price: $36 (The Body Shop)
Used until empty: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
First of all, don't let the price fool you. I know for a fact that I did not pay $36 for this body butter. I am not about that life haha. The body shop has sales frequently and I only buy from there when there is a sale. Lets move on to the actual product. This product is meant for dry skin. I can be a little lazy about putting lotion on my legs, especially in the winter months and no lotion can repair the damage when its time for shorts and sun dresses. I'll usually put on lotion and in a couple of ours my legs can look dry and a little scaly but not with this body butter. This body butter is oily but sooooo moisturizing. The first day I tried it I thought "not bad" but the next day when I woke up my legs still felt soft. I don't know about you but that's AMAZING. I bought the strawberry body butter at the same time so I hope I like it just as much.
